We are proud to announce the seizure of over 220 pounds of methamphetamine that has been removed from our region. This investigation was initiated and lead by the North Wilkesboro Police Department, the Wilkesboro Police Department, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, and Homeland Security Investigations.
Detectives from the Ashe County Sheriff’s Office assisted in this joint investigation that led to a large-scale meth trafficking organization in North Wilkesboro. The seizure of 220 pounds holds a street value of over $2,000,000.
The Ashe County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank these lead agencies for a job well done. We are grateful for their hard work and for allowing our agency to play a role in this important operation.
