Background and Responsibilities:
With 8 years of service to law enforcement, Kitchen Manager Michael Little supervises a staff of 14 employees as he oversees the daily operation of the in-house kitchen inside the Ashe County Detention Center.
A graduate of the Culinary Arts School of Asheville-Buncombe Technical Institute, and a former restaurant owner, Mr. Little is responsible for developing his department’s budget, maintaining sanitation standards and ensuring product safety. Mr. Little also works with dieticians to ensure that menus provide appropriate dietary requirements.
