This week, we are celebrating our 911 Dispatchers during Telecommunicator week! It is by far one of the most challenging jobs in the building, managing 911 calls, non-emergency calls for assistance, and dispatching our fire/medics/police while also entering the information into the computer system. It’s absolutely amazing to watch each dispatcher as they multi-task to save lives!
Each 911 Dispatcher is the very first person that people speak to when calling for help. After the dispatcher gets the information they need, they quickly get help dispatched and then move into a life-saving role. Their goal is to preserve the life, health, and safety of the caller on the other end of the phone while first responders are en route. It’s a job that never shuts down, 24 hours a day and 365 days a year.
It takes a special person to fill this role, and we are so lucky to have a group of well-trained, dedicated professionals willing to serve our community with such a passion for their field and compassion for their fellow people!
THANK YOU TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU!
